Book 3 in my Weatherby Wallflowers series, One Bed for the Bluestocking, is almost here! Since debuting its cover, I have received a number of emails from curious readers wondering about the historical accuracy of the hero, Nathaniel, who is a Black student attending the University of Edinburgh. Nathaniel’s character was inspired by the fascinating research of historian Daniel Livesay. I’ve put together a blog post about it if anyone is curious!

This year, I got together with some of my author besties over in The Brazen Belles to create a brand-new Christmas anthology! It features historical romance retellings of some of your favorite Christmas movies.
My story is called Home Unchaperoned. Oh, yes. I went there!
A note to all of my readers on Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play, and Barnes & Noble- this book will be going into Kindle Unlimited after November 6th. This requires us to make the book Amazon exclusive. So if you’re interested, don’t sleep on this one! And if you’re a KU reader, your turn is coming!

So, this happened:

I have officially been freaking out since I learned that I won the HOLT Medallion! What an honor!
I was especially delighted to see that Snowbound with the Scoundrel was the book that received the award. Rupert is such an unconventional hero, I honestly wasn’t sure how he would be received. But he got a lot of love in early reviews, and I feel like this confirms that there’s a real appetite for heroes beyond the usual alpha dukes and caddish rakes.
Many thanks to everyone at Virginia Romance Writers for organizing this wonderful contest, and congratulations to all of the winners and finalists!

I received the most wonderful news the other day- both A Wallflower Never Surrenders and Snowbound with the Scoundrel have been selected as finalists for the HOLT Medallion Award!
I am so honored to be nominated! Many thanks to Virginia Romance Writers, and congratulations to all of the nominees!

A New Series is Coming to Kindle Unlimited in 2024!
My author BFF’s over at the Brazen Belles and I are pleased to announce a new series coming your way in 2024, The Rake Review! Get out your smelling salts and make sure your fainting couch is nearby, because these cover rakes are absolutely scorching:

My contribution, One Fine May, will be available on May 1, 2024. You can read all about it here. And be sure to check out all of the books in the series!

With a new rake available every month, it was only logical that we would create our very own calendar, which you can find along with a lot of other groovy items over in The Rake Review Zazzle Store!

Coming Soon… To Your Local Library?
The Sea Siren of Broadwater Bottom launches in just three days, and I couldn’t be more excited!
But when I went to check my pre-order numbers, I noticed something: quite a few people have had to cancel their pre-order in the last few months.
I totally get it! Inflation is INSANE right now.
But I would never want my readers to miss out! Which is why I want to mention that ALL of my books are available for purchase by libraries through OverDrive.

If you’ve never requested a book through your local library before, here’s a blog post with an overview of the process. I’ve done it at the Austin Public Library, and I found the process to be pretty straightforward. There was just a form on their website that I filled out (and hey- they even purchased the book I suggested!)
I’m even running a sale this December on How to Train Your Viscount, just for libraries.
So go forth, library fans, and happy reading!

I Accidentally Started a Zazzle Store…
So the other day, we were giving away mystery boxes over on The Brazen Belles Facebook Group (have you joined yet? Because we do lots of giveaways over there!) I needed a little something for my box, so I designed this mug and ordered it through Zazzle.
It turns out that people like my mug! People were asking where they could get one, so I made it available for anyone to purchase. Then I added a few more romance-themed items.
So if you want to let the world know you’re on the hunt for a duke in the streets, rake between the sheets, check it out!
One note- a few people let me know that they couldn’t find the mug in my Zazzle store. I finally figured out why- Zazzle slapped a PG-13 rating on it!!! LOL- I can’t be mad, because they’re not wrong! So if you want the mug specifically, click here and confirm that you’re over the age of 13!

I was tremendously honored to be named the 2022 Lady of the Realm by my writing group, Regency Fiction Writers! This is an award given in appreciation of volunteer work (I have served as Coordinator of the Regency Academe for the past four years, and have also served on the Board as Programs Director.) I was honestly gobsmacked when my name was announced, and I am so very grateful to RFW’s Board and Members for this wonderful recognition.
